Zedu Weekly Wrap – 7 October 2022
When October hits it means two things…

first, it’s Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month (MUAM) – a time to celebrate our sonographer friends adn colleagues. Second, it’s Blocktober – where our pal Jeff Gadsden provides us with a daily hit of blocks – front, back, top and tail!
This means our news stream is absolutely chokka block (see what I did there) with the best in the latest and greatest POCUS and ultrasound developments – and a great deal for free! You have to love this global community.
Highlights this week include the many block posts from Jeff Gadsden (@jeffgadsden), research from Michael Gottlieb (@MGottliebMD) on the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound to confirm endotracheal tube depth and Matt Tabbut’s (@mtabbut) video on advanced spectral Doppler. Plenty to keep you busy this weekend.
We also had a fun Coaching Corner last night discussing how to choose the right ultrasound machine – the recording will be out ASAP.
Have a great weekend and wishing a happy MUAM to the team and all our readers.
Suean and Mike
Join the POCUS Educators / Seed Support Network on Facebook – a safe space to share education tips, resources and issues. People from around the world are joining in so come on down.
Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta! We’re running this internationally recognised course in Australia for the first time in July and October – don’t miss out.

Unashamedly biased 4 this post but I thought I'd showcase #RCEMasc posters with #POCUS themes. Lots of governance, education and supervision related posters which is fantastic to see intermingled with clinical applications. Apologies if I've missed anyone out. Well done everyone! pic.twitter.com/Qk6y8ZrrU2
