Zedu Weekly Wrap – 24 November 2023

Things have got really busy at ZeduHQ this week…

Suean and Michael - Zedu Ultrasound

it’s like everyone has come back from Melbourne Cup weekend and realised everything has to be sewn up, wrapped up and completed before Christmas! Yikes – not much time before Santa arrives but the ultrasound will get through 🙂

News this week is we’ve launched Australia’s first dedicated Ultrasound Guided Procedures for Pain Medicine course – designed around the specific needs of specialists in the field. We’ve provided a lot of training over the years on an ad hoc basis, so the development of this program has been long in the making. So if you (or someone you know) want to unlock the secrets of ultrasound guided procedures come and join the Zedu crew – we’d love to see you here.

In more general ultrasound news take a look at:

  • Peter Snelling (@PEM_Ultrasound) and the crew from @BUCKLED_RCT have released another publication ‘Diagnostic Accuracy of Point-of-Care Ultrasound Versus Radiographic Imaging for Pediatric Distal Forearm Fractures: A Randomized Controlled Trial” (23 November)
  • Michael Prats (@PratsEM) talks with Yale Tung-Chen (@yaletung) on Femoral Doppler in Heart Failure in the latest US GEL PODCAST (21 November).

This and plenty more news/views & information – be sure to take a peek.

That’s all for now – see you next week …

Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta!
