Zedu Weekly Wrap – 30 January 2026
This week felt like a “full-circle” moment at Zedu HQ…

as we welcomed the SonoSite MT, a nod to our roots with the M-Turbo nearly 20 years ago! But while we’re feeling nostalgic, the research this week is looking firmly forward.
First, we have to shout out the incredible work Suean and an international team have been doing: proving that POCUS at home can deliver significant benefits to multiple stakeholders . Their latest study shows that paramedics can effectively capture cardiac and lung images in the field to manage patients right in their own living rooms.
This is a potential game-changer for bridging the rural healthcare gap in Australia – scaling this could mean the difference between a stressful hospital transfer and high-quality care at home.
Second, we’re highlighting a vital piece from Perspectives on Sexual Health and Reproductive Health (27 January) regarding Australian Trans and Gender Diverse individuals’ views on transvaginal ultrasound. Being a “pro” isn’t just about getting the perfect image; it’s about understanding the patient experience to ensure our diagnostic tools don’t become barriers to care.
It’s a powerful reminder that empathy and technical skill must go hand-in-hand.
See you next week.

Make 2026 your year of ultrasound and check out our range of
scheduled and one-on-one options that will get you scanning like a pro.
Plus – as the cultural capital of Australia – why not tie in a bit of training with a touch of AO tennis, speed through at the Melbourne GP or have a laugh at the International Comedy Festival.
If you know the value of protected learning time, secure your place early.
P.S. – don’t forget – if something doesn’t quite fit your learning objectives or availability we can design and deliver a program that meets your needs. Don’t tell everyone though – availability is limited.
