Zedu Weekly Wrap – 8 August 2025

Friday has arrived already…

which means that it’s almost time to shut down the gel warmers, wipe down the machines and head out into what looks to be a glorious Melbourne weekenend. We’ve had a great week dominated by obstetrics, with so may pregnant patient models and their families filling the waiting area – it has been a blast.

We’ve also been fielding a number of enquiries around our 2026 calendar dates  (to June) which were released last week. Be sure to check your avaiability as we would hate for you to miss out. You can see the calendar here.

Plus – plenty of free news to share – let’s see what’s been making headlines in the world of ultrasound this week!🚀✨

  • The Ultrasound Journal – Usefulness of handheld ultrasound devices in the assessment of abdominal pathology and comparison with high-end ultrasound devices (5 August)
  • BMC Cardiovascular Disorders – Observations in incorporating lung ultrasound views into the echo lab: value in decompensated heart failure (4 August)
  • Pediatric Radiology – Imaging and clinical features of intra-abdominal injuries in children with suspected physical abuse (2 August)

Plus there’s a new POCUS textbook to check out – looking forward to scanning through this 🙂

See you next week – same time, same channel.

Plus – as the cultural capital of Australia – why not tie in a bit of training with a touch of AO tennis, speed through at the Melbourne GP or have a laugh at the International Comedy Festival.

If you know the value of protected learning time, secure your place early.

P.S. – don’t forget – if something doesn’t quite fit your learning objectives or availability we can design and deliver a program that meets your needs. Don’t tell everyone though – availability is limited.
