Zedu Weekly Wrap – 17 February 2023

Cardiac ultrasound is the bomb…

Suean and Michael - Zedu Ultrasound

particularly when it happens to coincide with Valentine’s Day. We avoided the stereotypical jokes though – well as best we could, it’s not all serious around here!

This week we uploaded the latest coaching corner to our resources section. It has already had us fielding a few questions on the techniques you can use to image foreign bodies. We love the water bath as it delivers such awesome images – be sure to check out and subscribe to the YouTube Channel or pass it around to anyone that may be looking to up their FB location game.

Highlights from this week include and article in BJA Journals by @KVermeylen
on deep posterior gluteal compartment block for regional anaesthesia of the posterior hip, Michael Prats (PratsEM) and the team talk about inclusion in the POCUS community on the latest US Gel Podcast, and Jonny Wilkinson (@Wilkinsonjonny) has released his monthly best FOAMed finds for February.

And as always, if you have research, news, views or resources you’d like included in the weekly wrap please drop us a line – we are always up for an ultrasound chat.

See you next week.

Suean and Mike

P.S. The recording of the first Coaching Corner for 2023 – covering the tips & tricks you can use to take the pain out of foreign bodies – is available now and free on the website.Zedu Coaching Corner February 2023

Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta!
